Of course I didn’t get the black paint job....LOL. Got the rest of the Zaion knobs on the way and will have them on all my Daiwa reels. Also got a Gomexus aluminum knob coming for my Twin Power. I have never cared for the soft rubber knobs on the Daiwas or the Shimano. I liked the knob on the 2015 Luvias much better than the one on the 20 model. So by next week all my reels will be tuned as far as I am wanting to go. There was a guy on TT that changed out the drag clicker and the roller assembly on his DaySprout. Those 2 items were not cheap. Not sure when I will get it but the Exist will in all likelihood be the next reel. These reels will last a very long time. My 2012 Luvias still performs just like it did the day I took it out of the box....but it is retired now. Thinking of giving it to a kid somewhere to use.

Are you planning on doing a video on your upgrades? I enjoy finding out what parts can be upgraded, how that process looks, and the reasons one might choose to upgrade certain pieces.

If you do so, make sure you mute the audio when you start to dissassemble the drag washer stacks.

Gomexus Power Knob for Shimano Daiwa Spinning Reel and Baitcasting Ree

Ebay has em too. I have Gomexus knobs on 2 of my reels, they work well.

I might do a video of the process....though it is not hard....but one has to be careful with the tiny clip spring that holds the drag stack in the spool. It can easily pop away from you never to be found again....LOL. I install 2 bearings in the knob...it makes the cranking much smoother. The other 2 bearings are for the spool support and drag support...this part of the upgrade will make the drag smoother...but I seriously doubt anyone could feel that difference in their hands.

For those looking at the eradicator, you could potentially pair with a new Abu Garcia MGX Theta reel. It's a 5.2:1 reel though and not a 4.8:1 like the MGX Extreme (which is out of stock). Looks sharp nonetheless.
