Gotcha... There is quite a bit of difference between the 6’1” Corto and the 6’10” Corto. I think the 6’10” Corto will probably be fine on the larger trout. I think I am trying to fabricate an excuse to buy another rod. Haha! I love the responsiveness of both the 6’1” and the 6’10”. The 6’1” has a crazy limber tip that is going to be a lot of fun in the small mountain trout streams I enjoy. I would like something in the 6’6” range with a stiffer tip to toss 1/4 oz to 1/8 oz spoons for trout in the lake. I can’t stand a really flexible rod for this application which seems to go against the area trout rods. I was thinking something truzer like would be nice.
Take a look at some of the JDM rods I have posted in for sale section. Thanks for looking
just got my first super ultra lite. been toying with getting one for a while. i went with a lower end rod, its a major craft trapara 6'6". this thing is tiny, it's gonna make the 1lb blue gill feel like a bull red. i can see one thing i really don't like is it dosen't have enough guides to suite me but ill wait till i try it out before passing judgement. if i had a wife i'd probably have to start a jdm anonymous form for this addiction everytime i get one i start thinking about what i want next.

Got the Yamaga Blanks Blue Current 71 TZ JHSP today - 4 days from shipping email to my door! Just put my Luvias 2004 on it, and it balances perfectly. Gonna hit the Hooch for some trout in the AM.
Caught about a dozen fat stocker rainbows today on the Tict Ice Cube Rockin' Power - it worked perfectly fine, but I want to step up the line size a bit from 2 lb to 3 or 4 on the Blue Current. Going to try a part of the river new to me, where some bull browns have been known to hang out.

Awesome! I am trying to figure out what kind of line to put on it too. I would like to find some good 4 pound Ester for a main line. It is difficult to find any Ester greater than 3 pound.

For the way I'm fishing (tiny sinking plug or jig) I am thinking flouro would be best - sinks, and is hard for the wily trout to see it. If I can find some 3 lb test Sunline FC Sniper I'll use it.

Congrats on the new rod! The Blue Current TZ line are great rods.....very sensitive, and while designed for jigs you can work small hard baits with them also.

Tenyru Rayz Alter, 6'2 UL Area Spec paired with the Luvias 1003!!! This is a special, high end rod. I bought it from a fellow CC member and I'm impressed. Hopefully I will get to use it soon.
