This guy was a tug of war on the Sunline Troutist Wild 3lb test! I thought I had a huge shellcracker as I was on bottom with redworms.

Just burned my day researching everything I could about Blue Current TZ Nano models. Pulled a trigger on 77 Stream Special. I suspect this will be THE ROD for my inshore saltwater fishing – bay bass, halibut, mackerel.
I had to try Yamaga Blanks – they look too good on paper and in videos...
And the power will complement nicely my Soare SUL setup.
Congratulations! Yamaga rocks!

Very nice fish. That was a pretty bass. I have 3 lb Troutist Wild on my little Luna so nice to hear your feedback.

(Trying to learn how to post pics.)Already having several JDM reels, and after reading all the messages in the entire JDM rod thread, I began my journey on the road to JDM rod land. The pic above reveals the first victim, a 15 inch, 1.38 lb spotted bass which fell prey to a small swimbait. The rod is a Bluecurrent 69 light-game rod rated for 1-4 lb. test and 7g max. lures. Reel is a Shimano Stella 2000s. Line in first pic is 4 lb. Stren Crappie mono, diameter .17mm. Lines on two other reels used were 4 lb. P-line Premium CX with a diameter of .16mm, andSuper Trout Advance Sight Edition 3 lb. diameter .148 mm. I absolutely love the rod for 3 and 4 lb. line. it has a limber tip and a strong butt, with good sensitivity for nylon line. Initial impression is that the best range of weights is from 1.5 to 6 gram lures. The second weighed 2.38 lbs. Caught a dozen or so on the first outing, all spotted bass. Will try to post a couple of other reports if the pictures come through ok on the forum. (If they don't, I would appreciate any advice for improving the size or quality of the pics.)
I like the looks of that combo, the Blue Current III is their newest model?

Yes. Bluecurrent III is their newest line. It started rolling out model by model in early 2020. They now have two lines of light-game rods- the Bluecurrent III which sells for $220-$230, is 91% carbon and the TZ Nano which has Toray Graphite, Torzite guides and over 99% graphite blank. The TZ Nano sells for about $350, depending on model.
