That is a sweet rod. Done a lot of research on those rods and there is a c.com member here who has the 67 Slow Taper. Go for it.

Randy, just curious, have you bought the Finetail Banshee you were talking about buying? I believe it's the model with the green blank? If so, what are your thoughts?
I'm thinking about purchasing one. I was thinking about buying the 6'3 model, UL.
The Banshee is no more. I have the “New” Finetail Area FAX SUL 63 on the way. Should be here probably Tuesday. The only Fine Tail I know with a green blank is the old one. The rod I have coming is only 54 grams....and has 9 guides. The blank must be incredibly light. While the guides are the new Sic-s guides the frames are stainless so for it to be that light the blank must be insanely light. If this rod pans out I will probably get their glass model in the 6 4 length......also insanely light. Will give full report when I get the rod.

redearhoosier thanked you for this post
I'm the one with the 6'7" SUL "Slow Taper Special", it has quickly and in dominant fashion, become my favorite rod I've ever owned.
I don't have any others from this series, but with the build quality of the one I do have, I would not hesitate to order any of the others if it filled a hole in my arsenal.
I recently purchased a MC Finetail Banshee FTA 602 SUL and after fishing a TM Trout Slayer Series found this JDM rod far to soft for Trout Magnets. Although I did read it was for spoons and maybe small cranks, I really missed the TSS rod’s fast action for TMs.
It’s a soft rod alright....but softer than a TSS? I use my Banshee all the time for crappie....Gills.....trout with no problems. I tried a Daiwa Iprimi for a short while.....in a light action mind you....and it would make the Banshee look XX fast. I gave it to an 11 year old to try out UL angling.

Yes, it is too parabolic for me. I find the TSS so much more tactile in my hands. I primarily am fishing wild trout and they are just so quick. I do love everything else about the Banshee, so we’ll made and so light. May start looking at MC Ajing rods...
You may want to check out the Yamaga Blanks Blue Current TZ 65 model.....off the charts sensitive and XX fast.
