I really like my Bluecurrent III 69. It is my first JDM UL or L rod. I liked it so much I have ordered a complete arsenal of JDM rods from 3 different companies. My two posts about it are copied below.

Yamaga Blanks has apparently gone to just two lines of light game rods now, with the new BlueCurrent III and the TZNano lines. I really like my BlueCurrent III 69 model so far, and have not spotted any blemishes or defects. It is rated for 1-4 lb., and up to 7 grams. It tossed a 1 gram head with small plastic worm ok, and did the same with a jighead and soft plastic swimbait combo weighing 6.25 grams. Haven't used it enough to determine the sweet spot. It bends very readily, making a small spotted bass an enjoyable battle. It subdued a 2.35 spotted bass the first trip out.

Bluecurrent III is their newest line. It started rolling out model by model in early 2020. They now have two lines of light-game rods- the Bluecurrent III which sells for $220-$230, is 91% carbon and the TZ Nano which has Toray Graphite, Torzite guides and over 99% graphite blank. The TZ Nano sells for about $350, depending on model.

Thank you for the reply!! Replies like this, make this an educating and rich thread!

There are sooo many ultra light JDM poles that I would like to acquire and learn about, but I don't have a $$$ tree! I really need one of these Blue Current rods and the 6'9" model is very appealing. I'd love to buy the higher end model due to its higher graphite content which I'm sure makes it extremely sensitive...Just hard to spend $350 on a fishing pole.

This is my highest end JDM rod as it typically sells for $400 or more. It's been quietly sitting in its case, but that's about to change. Name: 20200412_103452.jpg

I sure would like to see a video of you and a 1lb plus Red Ear battling using that rod and the corresponding line. “Shoot fire” and “that jokers a digging now” would be mild compared what I would be saying!

I have a go pro, I might try to make it happen. The large redear put up an amazing battle. The battle AND their appearance as you are reeling them in, are the true addictions!! The sight of a 1.5lb shellcracker cutting up and approaching your boat when sporting mating colors, is off the charts addictive.

Has anyone ordered anything other than rods from Digitaka lately? I would like to know if DHL is a default shipping option now – I want to place a sizable order but really want to avoid any fees. At this point, I wouldn't mind waiting for EMS, I can't fish anyway...

Does anyone know the performance differences between the Triple Cross rods, the Crostage rods and the N-One rods??

I'm looking for an Ajing rod, that's why I'm asking these questions. I guess those three rods are all similar in their action, rigidness, etc.

What Ajing rods do you currently own?
