    Default Warrior River

First time post. This seems to be a good forum.

Recently my wife and i moved back to Alabama from Florida. GLAD TO BE BACK!!!! We live in the Madison/ Huntsville area. I hope to get familiar with the lakes here in North Alabama and post some reports. Not too detailed but enough to help my fellow angles.

Here are some pictures from our last trip on the Warrior River (two weeks ago). We ended up with about 15 fish, but nice fish. The biggest one was 16.5", should be close to 2 lbs. We were fishing North of Lock 17. It was COLD (remember I have been in Florida for a while).

Greetings from Birmingham. I fish below lock 17 and have never caught crappie that look like that. Great looking catch.

Hey man great job. I have fished some around the Franklin Ferry area of the river and have caught some nice ones up to 2 1/2 lbs. Been a while since I have been down there though.

I take it that you were fishing from a boat?

Thanks Jameslin for the offer, but I would like to get a little more familiar with the lakes up here before I join. I wish you all the best of luck. Once I get settled in I'll try and join your club.

We were fishing from a boat.

We also have fished the Warrior off and on and were we are short in quantity the quality it surprising good.:D
