I fished Swan Creek Saturday, Crappie early spider rigging with only one kept, returned 6 or 8 larger Crappie and a hand full of short fish. I spent the rest of the day trying new things for Gills. I found Gills on beds in multiple locations keeping a half limit of 9" to 10" fish. Of all the things I tried, they wanted something with flash and vibration. 90% of fish came of a tiny spinner, 1/32oz jig head with a 1"slider body. The water was 72 degrees early, but quickly warmed into the upper 70's with visibility of about a foot. The water is still a foot to a foot and half high for normal summer low pool. There were several boats fishing yesterday for Crappie or Gills with all catching a few.
