Work, family and the weather has conspired to cause a long drought with me not being on the water. I finally got some time off and the weather to agree today. I fished Forest Ingram in Cullman today, no fish shallow early (water was 58 degrees) but found plenty 10 to 14 foot deep on brush. I finally found a few on the edges later afternoon after the water had warmed to 68 degrees. Almost all fish from single pole using a 1/30oz jig head and the z-man baby baller jig body. The fish were biting soft, just see slack in your line when they picked it up on the fall. I kept a limit of Crappie that were between 9 and 10 inches returning a handful of larger fish. I probably return a couple hundred through the day. The lake is full with visibility of about two feet. The females I cleaned look to be at least a couple weeks from spawning, hopefully we can maintain some warm weather.
