At least you avoided a skunk!
I fished Crabtree Slough Saturday, and the trip was a bust. I caught two large Black Crappie, both returned, a few gill and several bass. The boards were pulled from the spillway so the deepest water only about two foot with most a foot or less. With the rain and lake rising water was rapidly coming in bring the water level up. The water was clear and 61 degrees, but probably 10 degrees cooler than a couple days ago. Hopefully it will fill up, warm up and the outflow will bring Crappie in looking for areas to spawn later.
