Default Jordan is in full spawn and the fish are on the bottom 12' to 16' or deeper

Last week every secondary creek mouth had fish in every direction. This week they stuck on the bottom. Lake looks empty of crappie. Still can find them but it's not easy on deep spawning lake like Jordan. The fish playing peek-a-boo from the bottom. Run to the fish as fast as it melts back into the bottom. Time to go to the river and go old school with a float in the lillys and reeds

Sounds like you’re keeping up with them.

I try to keep up with them every spring. FFS just proved what I already knew about these crazy deep fish on Jordan from pushing 8 rods for years. I’m going to the Alabama river where crappie do things by the book

Ive fished the same lake for 40yrs. Every spring spawn until FFS I only fished the river because the my lake slabs dont like spawning near the bank. Alabama River crappie make it easy in the spawn down here. Theres even articals in outdoor alabama about these deep Jordan crappie. Theres probably a guy that will say he catches jordan spawning crappie on the bank 1' deep but it aint me. What I call the bank here is 12' deep
