    Default Limestone

Fished limestone Monday from 1 till 6:30. Ended up with 15 keepers. All from the pits. Most from the first pit. The stakes in the 1st and big pit were loaded with fish. No telling how many shorts I caught. After driving all day and half the night Sunday last thing I wanted to do was clean fish so all were released. Some on a black and chartreuse slider about 2 feet under a float casting. Some on a lite pink BG baby shad jigging. Those are just what I had on when I got there and never saw a reason to change.

Glad those stake beds are working. Lots of work via a kayak, but a nice investment in the future especially since they'll be under water with only another foot in there. I plan to continue to add more as I have time and the found boards in the fall. You should have kept some for dinner though! Thanks for the update.

I have something new planned for Saturday. As always, I'll post how I do!

I should have gave a thanks for your hard work. A fellow member told me it sounds like you set me up a good honey hole. But I know I’m not the only one that fished them. Lol

I've put one or two stake beds in each of the three main pits, but like I said there not my fish! I hope you catch a bucket!

Good report. Glad you got on them. I think i saw you going into the first pit as i was headed upstream. I was at the bend. Me and a couple buddies fished Monday as well. We put in at the sand bar. We ended up with 9 crappie and a bunch of stripe. Very enjoyable day until i flipped my kayak just above the sand bar. I was fishing behind the laydown tree on the right and run up on a stick under water and the current flipped me. Lost my 3 rods and went back Tuesday and found 2 of them. It can happen in a blink of the eye.
