I'm dying to get on the water, anyone have an Icebreaker with spider rigging rod holders?

I thought I wanted to get out on the Big G today myself and I did. I was happy about being out there but my gear said NO. I did nothing but fight my rod eyes freezing up. Finally gave up and went home. I was the only boat out there.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

I thought about fishing a gravel pit from the bank today. But realized I’m sure it’s frozen. Lol

I’ve heard there are some things to stop the eyes from freezing. Pam cooking spray, chapstick and maybe Vaseline if I remember correctly. Probably some other things as well. I’ve not had a chance to verify any of them yet.

I will be out there tomorrow. I feel like a piece of me has been missing since this cold weather rolled in.

I actually tried it in a Nucanoe many years ago, in theory I thought I had it figured out, I was very wrong. Another one of those life lessons I won't forget.....

Maybe you could rock a little side to side and kinda break it as you go. Recommendations would be to rock harder if the ice is thicker....big grin
