Felt good to get out and fish a little this week. I’ve been MIA due to work and the weather not cooperating for my little boat, we had a solid two weeks of some serious wind up here. Started out at the creek mouth at 6 am and didn’t leave until 3:00 that afternoon. Every fish out there was chasing the bait balls around. Caught around 50 white bass, a spotted bass, some bluegill, and 15 crappie. Kept 9 of them to add to the mess I’m bringing home to the family for the holidays. A good number of them were black nosed/ black crappie with maybe 3 white crappie mixed in.

All of these fish were caught on an underspin with a few biting the mayfly color and the rest on monkey milk. Tried my usual single pole techniques and a jig and bobber with no luck. I believe if I had LS, I would have been able to see them grouped up off the ledges that aren’t out of the water right now.

Merry Christmas to everyone and their families, I hope to see some of yall out there on the water soon!
