Default Kayak Trip Report, Cotaco Creek

I fished Cotaco Creek today from daylight until 5PM. It pretty much rained nonstop from 7:30 until around 10:30, I would have left if the fish weren't biting so good. I kept half a limit and returned 50 plus that were over 11 inches. Released more shorts than you could count. All fish came off a 1/32oz jig head with a Pink and Chartreuse tube body fished 6 to 8 feet deep single pole on laydowns. The water was 73 degrees with visibility of less than a foot at the bridge and clearing as you moved towards the river. At the river mouth visibility was near three feet. All fish came between the bridge and the river. Lots of baitfish in Cotaco and the cooler weather this week should make it even better. Great time to take some kids fishing, hang some minnows while the weather is nice, and the fish are agreeable!

Great report. Do you tip your jigs with anything?

Often use Crappie Nibbles especially if they're slow or picky..
