Default Kayak report for limestone creek

I fished limestone yesterday from 8 till 3 with only 1 small crappie. I did manage 3 bass and a drum. I saw a 8-9 ft alligator in the big pit, may be the female. I also about run over a small 4 ft alligator at the put in spot behind the sand bar. I was 4 ft from him before I saw it. Also saw a big eagle , water snake and a gar with a big shad he had caught. Very nice day on the water

You did much better than I did. Hit Cotaco in the morning and fished LS from 10-2 and only thing I could manage is one of the hundreds of gar that were out there. Seen a pair of fellas bow fishing from the front of a bass tracker over by the pits. Seen a larger gator in the big pit as well. No crappie, but seen a guy tearing the bluegills up with worms.

Good report, looks like the good times are getting gone for the moment.

I tried the bream with small jigs but had no takers. No beds that I saw. I think the gater in the big pit may be a female. It is defiantly not the big one that I have been seeing in the pit close to the mouth.

I have 3 of the Lowrance hook2 in 5,7 and 9 inch. I use it mainly on down imaging. The side imaging is not very clear. The gps is very accurate. These videos are the best I have found. The one from fish the moment is a direct comparison on 3 unites. Hope this helps. I also use the long triple shot transducer with the pod on the feel free lure.

I have a hook 2 5 inch. I just can’t get the settings figured out. I can’t see anything on the screen. It shows the bottom and water column but no fish, structure or anything. I figured out how to reset back to factory settings so I’m gonna try that next time out. Thanks a lot. I’m gonna watch these videos soon as I can?
