Great story and awesome catch without all the fancy technology. What about a picture of the boat?

1963 is the year the old 14’ alumacraft boat with 25 horse Johnson was built that I fished in Tuesday and Wednesday. I kinda felt handicapped without my side imaging on my other boat but I got lucky Tuesday and found some fish. I have to keep the fish on ice in a cooler because there is no live well so that means no culling. I caught 45 keepers but couldn’t bring myself to try and cull any of the fish that had been on ice so the last 15 were just strictly for fun and trying to find fish in new places which I did. I figured they would be there the following day to catch again. Was minding my own business fixing to load my boat on the trailer when I heard two old men behind me making fun of my rig. They just didn’t know how many fish have been caught over the years in this old boat so I just laughed along with them. This was the first time in 3 years that it’s been in the water so I was just happy it ran ok and didn’t leave me stranded. Went back Wednesday and only caught 8 keepers. They were gone from the places they were 24 hours earlier but here’s the ones from Tuesday.

This was my granddad’s boat and I can’t tell you all the great memories I have from fishing in it so it will never be sold by me. That being said fishing in it is kinda like eating at McDonald’s now and then just to make you appreciate your wife’s cooking.

It's always good to have an old reliable back up.

Love, what more can I say
Nice mess. That vintage boat has some class
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Let them laugh, they have no idea the history of that boat or why it’s so special. I’d have no problem fishing from it knowing my grandfather would be proud. Besides it’s not the boat that catches the fish.
