Nice to see them all colored up. Thanks for the report DB, congrats!!
I didn't expect to have time, but some plans changed, and I returned to Forest Ingram today. Found Crappie in the same areas and add a couple more to the list of spawning sites. 50/50 today single pole/jig and bobber still using the 1/32oz White Marabou jig. The little bitty ones were endless, but I kept a limit of fish between 9 and 10 inches. In one of the new areas, I crossed a spot where the fish finder was showing large fish just off the bottom in 7 to 8 feet of water. I circled back and showed them the little bitty White Marabou single pole and caught 11 Crappie all over 12 inches. The largest two were 14 or 15 inches and all the larger fish were released. So much for Forest Ingram only having small Crappie.
The water was 67 degrees when I left and clear with visibility of about a foot. The wind was brutal, but worth it!
Nice to see them all colored up. Thanks for the report DB, congrats!!
Glad to know there are some bigger ones. I’ve caught several every time I’ve been but none over 11.

Good day given the conditions...that wind was brutal...getting to Cotaco on the main river from Indian was like jumping endless ramps in my little boat. Got there finally and it was calmer but by 1 o'clock boy was it whippin'...
Nice box of fish

Good job. I wondered about the bigger crappie....all that I have ever caught down there were around the 9" mark.
