Sorry riverboss, the cold must have further shut them down.
Fished limestone from 8-2 today and never found a crappie at all. Water too low to get my rig in the pits and broke a t motor prop trying. Fished the creek with one blade on prop and caught lots of stripe and found a school of nice bass and managed 10-12 nice 2-4 pounders but no crappie. Flood waters changed a few things particularly the entrance to middle pit where it washed part of that gravel bar into a nice round pile in the pit. Current was heavy and water dropped a couple inches while I was there. Water was clear mostly

Man, hate to hear the busted prop when trying to get in there. At least the bass showed for you. Thanks.
we did good in the usual places in the creek before the middle pit Thursday. Wind was too rough to try it out at the mouth of the bay. Have not fished for the bass yet, but next trip i will be trying for them. What were you catching them on? I usually catch them on a shaky head with a June bug trick worm. I always carry a spare prop in the boat just in case i break one .
My go too for bass is a black trick worm on a Texas rig. Spinnerbaits in a crappie pattern will slay some hogs this time of year too particularly on the teensy point where the 2creeks merge back together and the stumps below there.
