    Default Moulton new city lake?

Anyone tried new city lake in Moulton yet? I really struggle there I think because the water is usually so clear and most of the structure seems to be rock and not woods or stumps etc.

I love and hate that lake depending on the day. Some of the biggest Gills I've found in North Alabama. Coolers full of Gills that are 10 to almost 12 inches and I've caught Shellcrackers over two pounds. Full of huge bass also, but you can fish for Crappie all day without a bit. Sometime catch a few smaller Black Crappie or the occasional huge White but never consistently. I've only taken a limit a couple times. Mostly it's rock with steep drop-offs into deep water. I think most of the fish susped during the summer, but when you can see 10 feet deep spider rigging just doesn't work. I'm going to keep going for the Gills and occasionally catch a few Crappie but probably will never make a trip just looking to target them.
