Hatchet Ridge
Was looking over some of my old cat fishing spots on maps. Looks to me like some should move into the creek there. Anyone ever fish it??Never really heard of many people crappie fishing it so that’s probably a bad sign.

Never fished there but have always thought there would be some crappie in the area somewhere between that spot and Beulah bay. Thats a big flat with some ditches in the area. you might be on to something with that location.

30 years ago it was a hot spot. Idk why I haven’t tried there in that long but I think about it frequently.

Pretty shallow when the water is down. We did most good out in the stump flats between hatchet island and cowford, and back in towards round island creek.
