Thanks for the report. Sorry you didn’t have much success
I finally gave Forest Ingram in Cullman a try today. Not much to report on Crappie, I only caught three. Paddled the lake end to end just trying to learn it a bit. I caught bass and gills everywhere from the bank to 10 feet of water across the entire lake. The water was 63 degrees with visibility around two feet at the dam, little cloudier where the creek comes in. The lake is down about four feet, all the laydowns are in 8 feet of water or less water except at the dam. Great for the bass, but a little shallow for Crappie. Two of the pockets have bamboo growing on the bank. I didn't find it, but I bet someone has bamboo fish attractors in the lake. Find those and you'll find the big numbers.
The gills were too small to clean, most of the bass were 10 to 14 inches. I did lose one about 4 pounds. Not bad on a tiny spinner with a 1/32oz jig head.

Thanks for sharing. I love to fish Ingram's, but I have not found any nice size crappie...most are under 9" that I have caught.
I caught 3 pretty good ones. Well 10 to 12 inches. I thought if I did that ditch would killem. Lol. I may try it again after I get my fish finder going. Thanks for the report.
