Default Kayak report for Limestone creek

I fished limestone yesterday. The drag from bridge to creek is just that, a drag not a paddle. Started fishing at daylight and the fish were active. I caught more shorts than i ever have. I had 25-30 Crappie 7-9 inches long. I ended up with 20 keepers and had probably 7 or 8 that would have been 9 inches but forgot my measuring board. Also caught 2 yellow perch and a sauger and a small mouth in the same area as the other ones came from. The buffalo are thick in the upper creek and i caught 1 that hit the jig. I had a first yesterday as well. Caught a small bream and a 5 lb plus bass attacked it and swallowed it . I had him until he made it to the bank and got me tangled up on a log. Yellow perch and sauger were released. No fish out of the pits, all in the creek

Those yellow perch are delicious. Would have been hard for me to throw it back. Way to catchem, Great day on the water. I got a hunting trip to Kentucky lined up week after next. Then I will be off work for a month, I plan to do a little fishing in between hunting around the house.

Good looking fish right there. I'll have to check that area out during my vacation time.

Fishing man, what do you use the golf club for?

I use it to whack the gators with if they get too close Just kidding. It is actually a rod sock over my 2 piece jigging rod. Helps keep it safe while I am not using it. Had to look at the picture to see that it does look like a golf club.
