Nice day out for sure. Thanks for the report DB. Keep adding those stakes!
I fished Limestone today keeping half a limit and returning another 25 or 30 keepers plus numerous shorts and gills. Fun day on the water. I'd planned to put in some more stake beds and not stay long but caught fish all day and stayed until afternoon. Best day in Limestone this fall. Everything came off Jig and Bobber using a 1/32oz jig head and a 1" slider body. Half the fish came from the pits, half on the edges of the creek. The water is very low (down about three and a half feet), 52 degrees with visibility of about a foot.

Great day for sure. Did you get your water moccasin boat water ready? Thanks for putting out the stake beds in limestone. Sure hope the rain doesn't muddy up the water too bad. Looks like they finally moved into the pits
I've been thinking about the lack of Crappie in the pits this year. Usually, we have a lot more rain and current coming in from Limestone Creek. Maybe the Crappie move into the pits to not have to fight the current. This year with no current they've stayed in the main creek channel?

Makes sense. I wasn’t expecting it to be so low. J was thinking I don’t have to drag as much until on a week or two in November usually. I usually do best in the big pit right around now. I fished it hard the last half of the day I was there and nothing but a couple small gills. And the stakes are the only place I got a bite in the middle pit. I didn’t drag into the one off the bay.
