Congrats! Sounds like you broke that new yak in right.
Took off today and fished limestone. Pretty good day. Got on the water at 10:30 and fished till around 4. After the first fish I realized I didn’t have a stringer or any way to keep them. That was really fine with me. I tried to keep count and think I caught either 15 or 16 keepers. Most in the middle Pitt. Thanks for putting the boards out. They were all over them. Catch a couple and go fish somewhere else and come back and catch 2 or 3 more. Caught a few up the old creek also. No telling how many shorts. Fun day in the new yak. And my back and legs aren’t killing me. Most on Bobby garland chartreuse on 1/32 head. Some jig and bobber and most single poling those boards.

I'm slowly working some stake beds into the pits. Limited to how much I can move with a kayak, but should help over time, LOL!
Glad you got a few, thanks for the report!

Sounds like a great day!! Congrats
Glad you were able to get on the crappie. Hopefully they have moved into the pits. I have not caught a single fish in the pits this year. I saw the stake beds and was thinking they should hold fish.
I don’t know near as much as you and ditch do about the area. But I have found from fishing the pits from the bank for several years that it seems to me a quick, short cold spell will push them into the pits. Maybe just coincidence but I have had some good days in the pits during and just after a cold front.

By the way if anyone happens to find a 8 ft duck commander rod with an old zebco 33 I lost one down there somewhere.
