I've never owned a (motor) boat, but always wanted one. I do have a canoe and a kayak I've fished out of in the wheeler backwaters for years. I've enjoyed that a lot, but a couple years ago we moved over to the Shoals area, and it's a lot more like a river over here. So, I finally bit the bullet and invested in a boat that can get out there. It's nothing fancy, but it's my first boat that isn't propelled by paddle. It's not an ideal crappie rig, but I got it for basically all species, and I needed a smaller boat that could safely handle rougher water and below the dams fishing. And, I still have my kayak for the skinny water. Anyway, just excited to get it on the water. I have a few electrical things to get fixed, but it's basically ready to go as soon as I get the trailer lights working right.

Nice rig. Doesn’t matter what they look like or the size, give me a Cain pole and a Jon boat and watch out.
