Thanks everyone! I rewired the trailer today with new LED lights. I still have some electrical stuff to work on, but I think she's good enough to test out now. Unfortunately, I might have to wait due to anniversary plans this weekend.

Good looking boat there eminart. No shame in using what you have. I have a 14 ft jon boat out there with everyone's nice bass boats catching the same fish they do. You have a great blueprint to make something awesome for yourself.

Great looking boat. You start catching fish on Wilson let me know. Next time you launch consider loosening the bow stop and letting it slide forward 8-10 inches.

    Default My New (old) Boat

Cool!! You’re gonna love that boat I bet. And I second catchNgrease, might consider sliding her forward on the trailer back to where the winch post was before. I bet it will ride a lot better on the trailer then My New (old) Boat

Thanks for the tip! Like I said, it's my first boat. I've been consumed with getting everything else up to speed and that never crossed my mind. I did notice there's a lot of boat hanging out the back for such a short boat and big trailer. Never even thought of adjusting it though. You're probably right, I bet it would ride better that way.

    Congratulations.

Make sure to go upriver for the maiden voyage so if you have nay problems you aren't moving away from the boat launch lol.

You can adjust it forward in the yard. Just release the strap, loosen and move the bow stop forward a few inches, retighten the bow stop, winch the boat to the stop and repeat the process until it’s where you want it. Don’t go too far as it would be hard to move the boat backward though. Best done after launching boat but not too much effort while loaded in yard. Make a bunch of good memories in her!

Nice ride ya got there. Get her in the water, Figure out what it needs to make it yours. I have been working my old tinny for over a year now. Almost happy LOL. It ain't pretty or fast but it's mine and what I want. Catching them there water creatures and having fun is what it's about.
Catch all you can when you can!
