    Default Live minnows question

I live in Moulton and there isn't anywhere close to buy minnows any more. How much trouble is it to keep minnows alive for several days maybe a week or more at home. I have a home made bait tank that I used for shad but I never tried keeping them for more than just a day and it's hard to keep them alive for a whole day. What kind of minnows are best for crappie and any tips on keeping them alive??

You can use the tank you have made, should be alright if it was big enough to keep shad in. I’d take the circulation pump out of the tank or just don’t run it, that’s if you have one. Get a good oxygenation pump, and collect rain water to fill and change the water with. I made a tank a few years back and have it on my dock, I used half a 33 gallon food grade drum and half of a 55 food grade drum, filled space in between with good stuff foam, added a drain, a top and a double lined air pump and it works great.
