Default kayak report for Tuesday, Limestone creek. (big Gator seen)

A buddy and myself fished Tuesday at limestone creek. Wanted to take advantage of the open gate before it closed Friday.
Caught crappie good early but quit around 11. Ended up with 27 keepers with 15 or more shorts. Also caught a sauger. All caught on bobby garland in purple and monkey milk. Not a single fish in any of the pits, all in the creek. Saw a bad sight when we hit the mouth of the bay. Hundreds of pelicans all fishing and flapping the wings in a circle. There were pelicans as for as the eye could see. Got to put a hurt on the fish as they are not picky as what fish they eat. We saw the big gater in the middle pit. He just went to one side and watched us as we fished. 2/3 of the crappie were black nose. Very enjoyable day

Glad to hear you had a great time. NOT so happy to see all those pelicans.

    Thanks for the report!

I was sure I lost a sauger in the creek last fall, but it got off at the boat. I'd say your catch confirms it!
