Upper 60's to low 70's, but that's surface.
I was riding across the causeway headed North on hwy 31 in Decatur. I saw baitfish. What's the water temp today in the 8 ft range? Anybody fish?

I saw 70.5 Monday at Limestone Creek channel. Was hoping for a 67F report today.

I know I’m an idiot. But 3 degrees makes that much of a difference? In just a day or so?

You ain't an idiot, just brave enough to ask the question many were thinking (me included)
I asked the question and I can't answer your question DK...smiles..but I can't fish till Monday and knowing the answer to the temp of the flats let's me know whether to put the long rods on the boat or not.
But my feelings and past history has told me yes. I've seen two degrees make a difference over night where the fish are.
Crappie can swim 25cm/sec without significant energy loss. That's right at .9 mi/hr. If they decide to move....I forgot my nerd medicine this morning.
If anybody is at the Fiddlers Convention. Damion will be playing his Dolbro in competition tonight about 7-7:30.
