    Default Three Rivers Lake

Anyone here ever fish Three Rivers Lake above McIntosh? Not looking for any secret holes. Just looking for somewhere close to launch. I've never fished it but have always wanted to go. Had some colleagues many many years ago who used to fish it regularly and loved it, especially late spring and late summer. Thinking of trying to go check it out as soon as the river comes back down.

Just google McIntosh Bluff Boat Ramp. Or search it on your map app.
Turn in by the Olin plant sign (or at least we did.)

We caught most of our fish longlining in there when my brother lived in Leroy.
    Lots of spider riggers too.
Not much that i remember as far as holes go but just general trolling was all I saw anyone do in there.

Went there today. Looks like it's not used much anymore if at all. Lots of logs and sticks up and down the ramp from when the river was up. Parking lot is full of weeds. I'm guessing people are still fishing the area. I know it's pretty popular. Just wondering if they've found somewhere else to launch. It's pretty good hike to go up the river from Bates Lake launch and same from Leroy up above it to run down river to it.

    I hate to hear that.
I saw an article on outdoor alabama where they just redid the landing in 2019 so I assumed it would be fine.
It has been a while since I have been down that way.
That is the only one I knew of in that area.

The ramp itself looks updated and great. All concrete. Hard to tell how far down it goes due to the high water. I'm guessing it may just be that it's early in the year and due to high water most of the winter not many folks have been using it yet. It's early spring so the weed growth in the parking lot may not have been addressed as of yet. I plan on going back to check it out next week. Might even try it tomorrow. One bad thing about this location is bait, or lack of it. Coming from the south on 43 you'd need to stop at the bait shop at Bates Lake which is a bit out of the way, but it is what it is.
