Same here! I know I fish places where they are. It's just hard for me to let my guard down in areas where I know they are .

I fished a gravel pit from the bank last week with one on the bank on the other side a good ways off. Didn’t really bother me because I could keep an eye on it. It never moved for over an hour I was there. But something about being on the water with them to me.

Seeing the one on the bank wouldn’t bother me.

It’s the ones lurking under the water ready to rip me up that keeps me away.

    Hahaha

while true that the risk is relatively low of being attacked, those larger gators are capable of easily "taking" a human or deer or any other large animal and while it hasnt happened that we know of so far, the more time goes by and the population grows, its just a matter of time till it does.....

I agree. My biggest fear is something happening and flipping or somehow ending up out of my kayak. Only happened one time so far but you never know.

    Speaking of limestone and gators!

Has anyone been by lately to see the water level at limestone and the clarity?

Was thinking about going for a little while in the AM but if it’s chocolate milk halfway up the pine trees I’m going to do something else. Too cold for that

I haven’t actually rode down there. But the creeks coming unde 565 never got real bad after this last rain. I’d think it’s good as far as that. Not sure about level.
