    Default Would you buy it

Morning everyone. I need your advice. I know someone selling a 17ft aluminum triton hull for a good price.

problem is it has a gash on the port side of the hull.

What you even consider buying. How much would a repair cost.

I would not. If you are considering it visit a weld shop that can do a quality repair job and get an estimate on repair costs and if the warranty their work. A gash in a boat hull can be problematic, it’s not like a gashed fender.

It can be repaired but unless you know a skilled fabrication person that has experience in aluminum hull repair, I too would pass on that one. Is it priced right?

I'd pass on it. That's not a gash, it's a break. In took a heck of a lick to break. Probably more damage to other parts of the hull.
