Default Kayak Trip Report, Indian Creek

I fished Indian Creek today. Slow day but I left with half a limit and returned another dozen or so larger fish. The fish that would take the bait hit hard, but most fish were bottom hugging in 8 to 9 feet of water. I fished the same as last time with single pole jigging a 1/32oz jig head and a Bobby Garland Tuxedo Shimmer body 4 to 5 feet deep. The water was 59 degrees and started muddy at daylight but cleared to a visibility of about 12 inches by afternoon. The wind was rough again but still a beautiful day on the water for late December.

I agree. Kinda discouraging and inspirational at the same time. Lol. I choose to be inspired and hope one day they’ll like my jig just a little. Lol

River Boss, I've been blessed to catch them often when other people can't. If I had the same knack for something useful (like making money) I'd be Jeff Bezos, LOL.

By the way, I've seen you wearing them out your fair share also

Me and a buddy also fished Indian and cotaco creek. We put in as Ditch and river boss were putting in. We ran to cotaco and fished till noon with only 4 keepers and 4 or 5 shorts. The turkey and beaver were on fire. We saw 6 or 7 beaver and they would come within 3 ft of your boat. We came back to Indian creek and fished for a while and did not catch a fish. Still a good day on the water.
