Some days are like that. A day on the water is a lot better than a day spent at work. Give me the water over work any day
We got moved in to the bustling metropolis of Vinemont and after nearly 2 weeks of honey do's, I was itching to test out my new area. Went to Duck River yesterday morning and it started out perfect, weather was nice, plenty of action on my fish finder and then about a half hour in, the wind blew and I did not even get a bite. Saw plenty of promising structure..... and managed to get hung up on most of it. Guess this will be a learning process just like everything else.
Thanks

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass alongAttack123 thanked you for this post
Welcome to the area. Glad you were able to get out. That wind can get rough for sure.

Friend of mine fishes the duck a lot. He says since they pulled the lake to work on the dam the fishing hasn’t been near as good. Been meaning to go try it myself. I do know that’s not the place to be with the wind like it was yesterday. Good luck on your next trip.

that's my luck. LOL. I went last Saturday and by 9am the wind was 10mph. I would go around the river bend and the wind was coming from the opposite direction. I saw shad balls and most fish were close to the bottom. And tomorrow shows east wind all day long at 9mph. Stupid me must venture forth again with different tactics.

Pretty sure I invented the " different tactics theory". It helps me sleep at night

Yeah, as bad as the wind was, it was still easier to deal with than the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks
