Default Kayak report for limestone creek

I fished limestone Monday and Wednesday. On Monday i only had 2 keepers and 5 short crappie. Did catch 15-20 bass with most being 1- 1 1/2 lbs. no gator today.

I fished Wednesday and only caught 1 short crappie and 15 or so bass with the biggest about 3 lbs. Water was very low. I did see the big gator with the damaged tail in the 1 st pit. He was sunning again and hit the water when i was dragging my kayak into the mouth of the pit. He went in before i could get a picture of him. He would pop up a time or 2 to see where i was then go to the opposite side of the pit with only his eyes above the water. This is definitely a different gator than the one that i videoed in the 2nd pit. Hope the crappie fishing improves. Thankful for the bass to keep from it being a bust. I have seen several eagles and a few otters this year also.

Thanks for the report. You made up my mind for me about going there or not tomorrow. Gonna try somewhere different.

Until we get high water again we may have cleaned the bulk of the Crappie out of that area. Still Crappie there, just low numbers that aren't reloading with the long stretch of shallow water at the entrance off the bay.
