I dont fish much from the bank out there but when I do I really watch where Im standing ......I hope they get plenty of deer and dont need fishermen to fill out their diets...
theyre really spreading out along the river now showing up in the lower flint, Ditto Landing and a dead one floating in the river near hobbs island that wasnt the one that the news crews filmed at Ditto...

Takes a good sized gator to go after deer and large game.

I've seen two gators in Limestone on a single outing that were different individuals. One about 9-10 foot and another one around 6-7 feet. There are so many little holes in the woods in that area that are cut off from the main channel, I'm sure there are more I haven't seen. The big guy has always behaved when I'm around him and doesn't even come over to investigate when a fish I've hooked is splashing.

I assure you though if he gets something in him mouth (deer, pig or man) you're unlikely to get away. I saw a gator that size in Georgia one day swimming down a river with a feral hog in his mouth leaving a blood trail in the water behind him so it was a fresh kill. The hog was in the 200 pound range and there's not much tougher.
