Those are some great trips for post spawn fish!!! Congrats on figuring them out.
I am normally done with the crappie during the day time by mid April because I spider rig shallow. This year I have stayed with it trying to figure out how to catch them year around. Its still early but i started catching them in February in 3 FOW and now I’m catching them from 15-25 FOW. Its been fun trying to figure out what they are doing. The last month I have been fishing at least one day a weekend and catching anywhere from 50-80 crappie per day and bringing home 15-20. Friday I started in 25 FOW catching some fishing and trolling around different depths until found a good many fish in 15 FOW. ended up catching 70 crappie total brought home 30 over 10 inches with a couple 2lb fish to boot. The better fish have definitely moved deeper. I need to do better about taking pictures, I normally don’t think about it until I’m going to post.

Sounds like you're figuring them out. Might be time to master a different technique.

Great job on following the fish out. I spider rig all 12 months of the year. It's not for everybody but it works ok for me. Photo is one my wife caught a few weeks ago 2.56lbs.

I enjoy spider rigging at times. The new trolling motors sure make it easier
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Spider rigging shallow with 5 ft of line out is way different than spider rigging and trying to keep a jig 10 plus ft deep with 14-20ft of line out. It had me messed up the first few fish I was catching. Im normally stripping line off the reel to get the fish in, I was having to reel. I didn’t know how to act lol. I’ve also located some brush piles/trees while trolling with sidescan on. I’m going to go back one day casting and jigging see what I can catch. I can say that livescope has helped alot with watching the fish in the water column and how they react when the jigs go by. Pretty cool stuff.
