    There are some guys that park on the west end of the dam off 249 and walk down to fish the bank. You could probably park there and carry a jon boat down. The hard thing would be the return trip after fishing. If you are going to try that I'd do it before it gets hot!

    It's real easy to get a jon boat up a bank or hill. I hook my 100' rope to the boat and to the 4x4 and drag it out. Just stay away from concrete or asphalt.

    The challenge is the road, lots of traffic and no shoulder.
