Side image is a great tool for finding beds but if the grass is up much it will block your return so when we get those big rains Feb/March I take advantage of the hi water and scout for beds with SI up in the areas that’s usually too shallow to scan without high water! Also A good pair of polarized sun glasses with the sun to your back easing down the bank will help locate beds or you can just ease down the bank casting one or the other until you get bit .then once bit fish that spot few times you will know quickly if you have found a bed it will be every cast ! Have found beds in 6”-6’ water
Also if you find a lot of beds which are holding fish I can smell them it will just smell fishy to me
