Fished Indian and Cotaco creek on Wednesday.
Scoped out all the laydown in Indian creek but couldn't see any fish holding on it. Caught two small crappie (7 to 8 inches) dropping a jig down in the brush. Didn't have any good weedless jigs with me so after loosing a bunch I gave up on the brush. The two crappie I did catch were holding very tight to the cover.
Trolled up Cotaco creek with jigs and crank baits to Sharp Ford boat ramp and back. Didn't catch anything but was a nice day to be out. No takers at the bridge either.
Cotaco creek reminded me of Dog Creek in NE Oklahoma. Had better keep a mind what slough you turned into and how to get back to the main channel!!
