Nice. Trying to figure how y’all do it in the chocolate milk. Seems that’s all I ever get to fish lately.

Went to the creek and spider rigged a slough right off the creek. Caught around 15. Missed around 5. And brought home 6 or so. ( wasn’t really keeping count ) all fish were caught in chocolate stained water in less than 1 foot of water. Had a blast it was fun and a beautiful day to be on the water. However I broke a tip off one of my rods and broke a handle off one of my reels. I’m just starting out spider rigging so I bought the cheapest stuff I could get. 14’ HT rods with clearance mr crappie reels. 2.50$ a piece from grizzly jig. Had this set of 6 rods for little over a year and now I’m down to 3 so it’s time to upgrade. Looking for two 16’ ers and 4 14’ maybe 2 12’ too. What do y’all use or recommend for a quality rod and reel. I looked at grizzly jig and B&m has so many choices it’s hard to make a decision. Also I’m wanting a rod with a small diameter handle as the HT rods are a tight fit in my holders. Sorry For such a long post and thanks for hanging in there and reading this.......Jordan

I use b and m bgjp 14 foot rods for spider rigging. I've had 8 rods for several years now and haven't had any issues. As for reels I use diawa sweepfire spinning reels. There probably not the best but they get the job done.

I too use 14 ft. BGJP rods for spider rigging. Have been using them for several years and they work good for me. If you break a tip on one you can buy replacement tips. I use several types of spinning reels on mine and have found that most reels with a decent drag to handle the catfish or stripe that we sometimes catch will work ok. One thing I have found spider rigging is be sure the reel has an instant anti reverse, if not it can mess you up.![]()

I just bought 16ft jenko spider trolls off grizzly jig and i absolutely love them. I put spinning reels on them so i would have a decent drag for non target fish and getting hung up. Had another member here recommend them. They are a light rod also your shoulder won’t be hurting from fishing with them all day. I have boat swung tons of fish with zero issues. If you do break a tip you can buy replacements from grizzly jig for about 20 bucks Grizzly jig. They have a good backbone but a light tip. I can see a super light bite. They around around the same price as the BnMs

Grizzly Jig should have the replacement tip for your HT. If I was buying I would look at the Pro Angler Tackle rods. I don't own any but I like what they have to say. And free shipping always makes it sound better. I will own some soon.

Sorry but another question...... do these rods mentioned have a bright colored tip. These HT rods have a fluorescent green tip and I like that
