    Default North Alabama crappie report


    Long time lurker.... Just joined the site. Despite the negative fishing reports from my friends, I went out Sunday afternoon looking for crappie. Tried a community hole and found tons of fish with lock jaw. No bites, abandoned the plan and went hunting them. Thought I would find them in eight feet and caught a couple, but really got on them in about three feet. Caught 11 really big ones. Pink 1/32 with monkey milk grub. Was only on that pattern for the last hour of the day.

    Would post pics... If I could figure it out!

    Welcome to the forum, I'm taking Thursday and Friday off work to look for some fish shallow. They may not be there in numbers, but the weather is killing me, I've got to try!
