    Default Is Scottsboro under water......

Went sauger fishing today and they had at least 8 gates open. Whats going on? Between that and 20 mph winds, made for a bumpy ride up and down from the dam. Wind blowing straight in the lock and all that current put the troller to the test. Did catch 23 and invited 4 home for dinner.

I've decided they're trying to turn east TN into a desert. Unless they've closed them and I didn't know it, which is possible, there's been some flood gates open continuously for probably 6-8 weeks.

There were mud flats at South Sauty last weekend. I've seen dirt in that area before, but not acres of it like I saw the other day.

They must have closed them just to make sure they still worked.

I'm glad you caught some. We used to catch a lot of those below nick-a-jack and looked forward forward to the winter months and the sauger run. After they put that 15 inch limit on them it started going down. I thought it was stupid and still do. The only thing you could keep was the big egg laying females. I told the biologist if ya'll were raising kids you would kill the women. I don't think they catch a lot like they used to. I quit fishing for them years ago.

When I was up at Daddy's the first of the week, Nick-a-Jack didn't look all that low. Maybe they are trying to kill some of that grass in Guntersville. I hope it ain't floating every where this spring. I wish it would kill that eel grass and it would wash all the way to New Orleans!
