Default Lake Catoma and George Lake, any fish?

How's the fishing in George Lake and Lake Catoma, for any fish - crappie, bream, and bass? Anyone ever fished there?

I’ve fished catoma several times. Never much good on crappie. But I see people catching good ones there. Seems like it would be a good bass lake. Have you tried Duck river?

I've fished Catoma several times for bass and did pretty good and, have caught crappie fishing laydowns in spring,as far as Lake George the water there is crystal clear, you can see the bottom in 15 foot of water, which makes it hard to fish

What about eight mile creek that flows into Catoma, or any of the other creeks in the area. I'm always looking for new places to fish.

I’m planing on trying 8 mile in the next couple of weeks. Been meaning to but can’t make myself get away from limestone.

Same here. I'd be interested in what you find out. Looks like there is a place to put in off of country road 1352 based on what I can see from street view.

Yes. That’s the only place I can find. If you go there if you pull too close to the creek it’s really soft. I went back in the summer just to explore some. Got stuck and had to get pulled out. Only paddled a short way after that. But I don’t have a 4 wheel drive. Wish I could find somewhere closer to catoma to put in.
