Tried a late day/afternoon trip out to MCL to see what the water was like. Decided to work on my spider rigging skills. Water temps were down to 76 and water clarity was about 18". Managed to catch 5 fish, all good solid keepers, but I just let them back, wasn't really looking for any to keep. Fish were hanging at 8 FOW a little deeper than last time I was out there. The bait was any where from 8-12' deep. Black and chartreuse was the color that produced. There was actually a bass tournament being run out there, so a lot more traffic than usual and everyone was hitting the brush pretty hard. Was nice to get out and not sit in a pool of sweat the whole time on the water. Only got to 73 and a light breeze blowing the whole time.
