You are doing good with that 1 inch slider on a light jig WTG! that's how you do it too in giving up your ketch to someone I am sure really appreciated it.
I stopped by Ditto Landing yesterday from 2:30PM till about 6:30PM. I'd plan to fish Aldridge Creek looking for a few gills, but is was muddy from the rain. I decided to fish the back slough instead, but wasn't hopeful. The surface temperature was 91 degrees. Only caught a hand full of small gills, but ended up with 9 Crappie casting a 1 inch slider on a 1/32oz jig head. Returned another half dozen throw backs. Very unexpected with the warm water temperatures. I gave my fish away to a bank fisherman that was trying hard, but not catching anything. Fun short trip.

A few in the open, some by the old log out in the open area and some in each corner under the shade trees. In past years they leave that area by July until September or October. At least I could catch them and I thought they left, LOL. All were hugging the bottom, depths of 18 inches to almost 5 feet in the open area. The area is still full of bait fish. You know the old rule, if there's shade then there's Crappie.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
