I fished Madison County Lake today, fish were 4 to 6 feet in 15 to 30 feet of water and scattered. I spider rigged 5 poles with 1" sliders on a 1/16oz jig head. Kept 26, bite shut down about noon. I returned 6 that were 13 to 14 inches and several that were about 6 inches, so three year classes represented. Crappie were hitting bait on the surface like you'd typically see with stripe. The lake was high and full of trash, visibility of maybe a foot. The water was 80 degrees at daylight and had warmed to 89 by 3PM. I tossed the edges for gills the last three hours. Lots of small ones, but nothing large enough to clean.

I ran into Bob D putting in at the same time, he was killing them long lining again! Good to see you Bob!!
