    Default Good rod

I’m thinking about riding over to Sheltons Saturday. I’ve been wanting to get me a couple of good rods. I use plueger president and trion reels. I bank fish or single pole out of a kayak. What do y’all suggest?

They have boxes of rods laid out almost across one whole wall. I would just go and give them the feel test. Ask them if they have any specials. Sometimes you can get high dollar rods and reels for dirt cheap.

They do have Trion reels. I was not familiar with them so I passed to do some more research before buying.

I have trion and president, I prefer the president, it just feels smoother. I’ve never had any issues with the trions though and probably wouldn’t know the difference blindfolded.

I’ve got reels. Just need decent rods to put them on.

Think about 7 ft where you can clear the kayak bow.

I was out there last week. I bought a Shimano Sellus 6’ 6” medium that more like a med lite for 30.00 . I like it and very comfortable rod .

I’ve been using field and stream inferno. But they quit making them. The 2 I have are broke off at the end. I’ve used them all this year. Lol. But it’s time to get something better.

They have a table as you come in the door that are 4 for $100.00....they might sell one for $25...they are pretty nice rods. I picked up a Shimano Sellus also and am using it bass fishing....I like it pretty good. These are the 2019 models...the 2020 models get a real high rating on reviews. The prices are not marked so you have to ask.
