Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork

I fished Barron Fork today from 9AM till about 6PM. First time in a long time, I didn't catch a single Crappie. I checked their normal spawning areas without luck, move to the first drop off with cover and still no fish. Finally went into Indian Creek where Crappie typically stage post spawn in 10 to 12 feet of water and still nothing. I switched over to gills the second half of the day keeping half a limit of big gills and shellcrackers. Below the bridge at Zierdt Rd the water was 63 degrees, above (up stream) it was 58 degrees. Visibility of about 12 to 18 inches with the water about 6 to 12 inches high.
