    Thanks for the prayers for my friend. They finally decided they had done all they could for him. Meet with his wife and son’s yesterday morning and the decided to shut off the respirator. They took him off about 7:30 and he passed away around 9:20 last night.

    I appoligise for kinda Hyjacking funbun’s original post.

    You are absolutely correct! But it took almost 61,000,000 people with h1n1 to produce 16,000 deaths. With the mortality rate of Covid19, if it infects 61,000,000 people we may see 1,000,000 deaths. Corona virus is a whole different animal.

    I don’t think we really know its mortality rate. We know the mortality rate for those who have tested positive. But most people have not been tested. I just read a story that said the mortality rate was .66%, which is less than one third of what’s being reported.

    I agree that firm numbers are unknown, but I believe in erring on the side of caution is probably our best bet!
